The WildC.A.T.s gather in Aspen, Colorado because Emp was called there to be part of an energy committee. He tells his team that they could enjoy some free time in Aspen or wherever they would like. Just then, a helicopter attacks their abode, guns blazing through the windows and walls. Meanwhile, Ben Santini is the head of the Black Razors and has the mission of protecting the industrial leaders that are part of the energy committee because they are being targeted by Daemonites. While the Black Razors enjoy some down time before their mission, one of them is attacked by some Daemonites. The team go on their mission and protect an industrialist from a Daemonite attack. After the battle, the Black Razors learn that a Daemonite with shape-shifting abilities is masquerading as a member of the WildC.A.T.s to get close to Emp, to kill him.
